In mid-2027, we will open the doors to our brand-new church building! As we prepare for what’s ahead, we believe God is inviting us to make room for more—more life change, more people experiencing the hope of Jesus, and more community. This means making room in our personal lives, in our schedules, and in our faith. And yes, it means making room in our church for the people God is bringing.
We believe the best days of our church are ahead. And we’re preparing now for the lives that will be changed in the years to come as we step into the more God has for us.
Phase 1: Pray
We are inviting every person who calls East Cobb Church home to commit to intentional prayer:
Pray over your personal life — Where do you need to make room in your life?
Pray over our church — For direction, wisdom, protection, and provision.
Pray for who to invite — Ask God to place on your heart the names of people who need an invitation.
This season is about preparing our hearts for what God is preparing for our church. Each month we will have a new prayer for us to pray together.
Phase 2: Volunteer
A bigger space means more people—and more people means we need YOU. As we grow, we will need more small group leaders, parking team members, production and worship leaders, greeters, and more people willing to say, “I’ll make room.” When we say “yes” to serving, we make room for someone else to encounter Jesus.
Phase 3: Invite
The biggest reason we are building this church is that we need space for the people who aren’t here yet. Who are you inviting? Who needs a seat next to you? Who needs what you’ve found here? When we open our doors in 2027, we hope to fill every seat, circle, and room with stories of life change.
Before that day comes, we are preparing for one of the most defining seasons in the life of our church. This isn’t just about a building timeline. It’s about building the kingdom of heaven. We hope you’ll join us in making room.
